I am reading the post, she is getting paid for all
if the hours, regardless how many of them she is working. |
|
The issue isn't really about the pay I would imagine. If it were me in this situation I would be thinking-
1. I am only transporting the child from one place to another without actually nannying, is this what I signed up for? 2. Is it worth my while coming in for an hours 'work'? 3. They clearly don't need me if they are back home early all the time. I need to find another job before they fire me. |
| Sounds like a great deal to me! |
| Sounds like the parents are guaranteeing four hours a day since sometimes the dad doesn't get home early and they need the coverage and are willing to pay to retain a good nanny. |
This. It may seem like a 'sweet' deal to many of you but I would be thinking all the above too especially only coming in for an hours work. Wouldn't be worth the effort. |
| This is one of the funniest discussions Inhave read in awhile. He nanny is being paid for 4 hours a day but often only has to work for one. It is on an irregular basis, so the dad clearly can't count on being home early and thus needs the coverage. In what world is this a problem? |
what's the real issue? you don't like being paid 4 hours a day for 1-2 hours of work/pick-ups/whatever? if the real issue is you want a 50 hour/week job with multiple children to watch, then go get one. |
| If it is happening often, of course it would get annoying. PP, the nanny probably is looking for another job. I know I would be. Wouldn't mind only having to work an hour some days but not regularly, even if I was being paid fullrate. It is hardly fulfilling and I would feel like they could fire me at any time. |
