Teaching my DC colors- Calls everything green

I've five kids, it's perfectly normal. Your child is identifying that it's a color - green. My 19 month old calls everything blue, calls all animals dog but can identify all her body parts - even obscure ones! And I've learned that you can't teach a kid what its not ready to learn. I spent ages teaching my now 8 year old how to read. She was six years old before she could read a full sentence and certainly not a proper book. But my now 6 year old twins can read chapter books and by them, I'd given up trying to educate my kids ...
