If these, and others, are NORMAL Nanny tasks, do you mention that in the interview? I don't think so.

Nannies are not house keeper . MB are very lazy , jerks abusive , manipulative s . I say this as a nanny for 18 years . Now I am no longer doing that jobs I am sick of working with families with kids . I would rarer work at a flower shop or go volunteer. That job make me not to want to be with my grand children . The people who make sick are the MBs they where b**ts all the time. I am done.

I don't pick up single thing besides babies but it irked me why family behave like this.
Just want to know what other nannies do in situations like this.

OP here: Thank you all for your opinion , I do everything related to the kids, change their diaper trash, laundry, clean after they eat etc. I was doing the extra work being nice but according to our agreement I didn't have to, anyway I learned my lesson and will be smart from now.

Thank you all again.

Umm no I have never taken out the trash in any of my Nanny positions.
I have emptied the dishwasher on occasion but not as a habit.
if you dont like doing it start putting stuff in the wrong places or leave it out.............

I have NEVER emptied a family's trash and taken it out. I don't care how full it is I will use another for what I need to throw out. I take my own trash out at MY house and find emptying trash and opening outside dumpsters disgusting. That is the responsibility of the family's to make sure the trash is already empitied or not too full when the nanny begins her work day. That is part of PROVIDING A CLEAN AND PREPARED WORK SPACE for your employee. Just like making sure the kitchen sink is clean before she arrives etc.

I had a family that I had agreed to empty the dishwasher and load it as needed with the kids dishes. The mom who worked from home began to take serious advantage of this. She started leaving the previous nights dinner dishes including the pots etc in the sink that I used to wash baby bottles so I would have to clean their mess just to start. They also started keeping dirty sippy cups and bottles from ALL weekend waiting for me to wash on mondays. As soon as I found a better position I was out of there! She contacted me for over a year afterwards trying to get me back when she couldn't keep a decent nanny.
