But you clearly showed your priorities...

You said she should have let your son go to the after school club. So you don't value her time, gas, or inconvenience. She went to pick him up because YOU told her to do it. Then you don't want her to get him?!

Why....??!

Because it was your Nanny's TIME that you disregarded.

If your child could have gone to the club, it would have been much easier for the Nanny to take the time off instead.

Hopefully she was justly compensated for her time + travel.

The real question is, YOU in the comments again? You are a troll, commenting non sense in every post.

OP here, are you referring to me, PP? If so, I have already explained once that it was deleted off one of the other boards. I have also explained that the nanny DID end up taking DS back.

As long as she is being compensated, I don't understand why she would care if your child ended up going to an after school club or not.

you are a jerk and that Nanny deserve a better family to work with.

If it had been the case that OP had allowed the kid to go to out of school care when the nanny was meant to have him then sure, I would be ticked off as I would feel second best and like I am not really needed.

if your nanny gets annoyed at this, fire her! BFD, she made an extra trip to the school or had to wait awhile. When i interview potential office assistants that have been nannies, I either don't hire them or make it clear they will do the job they are told to do during working hrs and will NOT be coddled. Welcome to the real world, Mary Poppins.

In follow up, "you would feel second best and not needed?" What is wrong with you? It is a JOB, not a love-in. The kid probably wants to go to the club, he is not there to be your emotional support pet.

Why is everyone shocked that the nanny would have been upset at this? She was told to work those hours and the mom had then said it would have been okay if the kid had ended up going to the club. So the nanny is meant to be cool with that and go back home unpaid AND made to feel like her services were not wanted.
You are all nuts if you can't understand.

Also, 12.53, You claim to emply staff but you don't even use appropriate grammar. Something wrong there.

My guess is that it was how you said it, as though it were her fault for not intuiting that you wouldn't have minded your DS going to the club and thus that she had caused an unnecessary problem for your DH.
Anonymous
^^ I mean, isn't that what you were implying by telling her you wouldn't have minded?

If nanny was paid for the time and gas, maybe a minor annoyance for her but she should move forward and family should make every effort to be more organized. If she wasn't paid for the time then of course that's not acceptable. When I first read the post, I took it to mean that she was paid, but re-reading it isn't clear if she was on the clock. OP, please clarify.

Wow OP, get your shit together. That was probably embarrassing for the nanny.
