Are these parents for real? Is slavery legal again? $400 a week?

Child care is ridiculously expensive. I'm a lawyer and I can barely afford child care. You have no idea how much these parents make or what there circumstances are. If this is what they can afford so be it. No one is forcing you or anyone else to take the job so hardly slave labor. The cost of child care has gotten out of control in this are as has the expectations of child care providers--thus we have one of the most bustling au pair cities in the country. After my nanny, who had a nanny of her own, asked and received multiple loans, asked for yet another raise, I threw in the towel and switched to an au pair. It's not perfect but better than the nanny situation for sure. So sick of the whining!!!!!
