| Am I the only person who has ever gotten a bruise and didn't know where it came from? Sometimes bruises happen and sometimes they don't hurt. Or maybe baby was crying and nanny thought he was tired or hungry etc. Babies cry and it doesn't usually correlate to an injury. |
As adults, we're used to occasionally banging into things and not noticing. Babies are more sensitive. Maybe there are babies out there who will get bopped and knocked around and not cry...? I guess anything is possible. And babies have different cries. If nanny has been with OP's kid for a while, she should know his different cries. I was never good at distinguishing DC's cry, but the cry of pain was VERY distinctive.

| I work with mixed age siblings. They do play rough, sometimes so rough that one or both get hurt. I don't always know one bites if the area is covered by clothing. Hand and and leg bites are easier to spot because I can clearly see the hands and the legs during a diaper change. Unless I had a reason to take off the baby's sweater the arm bite could go unseen. |

I care for a 7 months old boy. His mom pick him up from my house at 5 pm on Monday. The next day/Tuesday around 7 pm she texted me. Asking me if I did noticed a small bruises on her baby forehead.
I apologized to her and send her few pictures. Also a video that I capture right before the baby went home. A video how I potty train her baby (as per her request). NONE showing any swollen, red marks or any bruises on his forehead. She thanks me and said "maybe her son bumped his head inside the crib at night" I was so offended with this! For me why took her 26 hours to asked me? If the accident was at my house she can see the bruise around 6 pm or 7 pm or 8 pm on Monday evening. |
This. So much this. |

What a bitch. You should tell her to find someone else. She is accusing you of abuse. |
