| I've done that too, OP. MB came in and asked what he mess was. I said that I didn't know, it wasn't mine. I don't mind some breakfast dishes and a little extra mess on Mondays, but don't be unreasonable! Good for you. Let us know how it went over. |
So you had Monday off or not? |
Point? Stay on topic. |
|
Good for you. Of course, you shouldn't have been doing any of this, and allowing job creep, "for years".
That just means you failed to ever say no. So the blame is at least equally on you. Respect yourself enough to handle this appropriately and calmly when it starts - not years in. |
[b] Op here- Yes I had Monday off. What is the point here? They had tree days to clean the mess, even worse! |
She thinks you deserve a punishment for having off on Memorial Day. What a b. |
| I worked for family like this for years. Here's the thing, the mess doesn't bother them. It just bothers you. If you want to clean it during the course of your workday, do it but do it for you. Unless it's a specific duty of yours, you've done nothing to bother them because they don't care about the mess. |
| Agree with immediate PP. Don't take the mess personally, OP. People have drastically different levels of tolerance for cleanliness. If you can't stand it, it may be time to move on. |
