She has plenty of time while dcs are at school. To avoid the issue, I take the nicer items out of dds' hamper and wash them myself. Should I say something to nanny? I think she'll be very annoyed if I say something. I don't really mind washing the items myself, but I work FT and have 3 dcs, one with medical problems, so I have to choose what I can get done.
Has your nanny been with you for a long time, did she start when all the kids were young? Your position sounds like more of a family assistant and less childcare, many nannies are just not skilled at some household management duties. You should sit down with your nanny and kind of go over the expectations and ask her if doing laundry is a challenge. It may be that you need a person with a better skill set, an employee's job is to help make home life easier for you. I am actually an estate manager and had to take away laundry duties from the housekeepers because they just was not good at it, I gave them a different task.
You are sweet to consider your Nannie's feelings but you do not want to reach a stress point that affects yourself and your home
