If it didn't get deleted it's probably not a troll which means you're not as smart as you think you are. |
OP here - Not sure why you would think I was a troll. Didn't think there was anything wrong with my question. Finally heard from our nanny. Was in a bad car accident and taken to hospital. Have the note from the ER and a copy of the police report of the accident. |
She was in a bad car crash, and she brings you an ER note? You're a piece of work, op. And a joke. |
I take it you've never been to the ER and been discharged with paperwork and instructions? Lucky you. |
On the contrary, I have, but no note since I was in school. No "proof" needed if I'm out sick. |
If you just didn't show up to work, didn't call, didn't contact the family when you were late ... You assume you'd have a job waiting for you? What this nanny did showed a lot of integrity. |
I can not imagine under any circumstances that I would not notify my employer that I would not be in at the time I was supposed to be there. Unless both my husband and I were knocked unconscious for HOURS. But still, I'd be calling/email my boss immediately after I called a family member. A short, message " In a bad car accident, will call later with an update." If I couldn't do it - my husband would.
She's had three occasions where she didn't show up for work on time without a notification - most for hours at a time. I'd be getting a new nanny. Oversleeping till10am is terrible. |
If I later provided proof I had been in the hospital following a car accident I would absolutely have a job. |
Worst troll thread of the month. |
I agree somethings not adding up with this nanny. I'm sure the hospital had a phone she could've used or she could've had a relative/friend contact them. If I were OP I would've been started looking for a new nanny. |
But it's a good story, isn't it? |
right, because everyone has their employer's number memorized. ![]() |

Why are you so worried? Is he illegal? |
