Well if she insists on having add'l job duties, then perhaps organizing the toy bins, emptying out trash/diaper pails, sweeping the kitchen floor and wiping down the stroller and high chair.
Hope this helps. |
loll this is so funny!! After she get this list she will come to this board and make a thread about how her MB take advantage on her, how can she demand more money from MB and blah blah blah. ![]() |
I insist that she rest during the two hours the children are resting, especially assuming she has to use part of that time to clean up from morning play and lunches. 8-9 hours is a long day with two 1-year-olds. |
When they get older, she'll probably want to prep the next activity, or get bags ready if they're going somewhere. |
What a breath of fresh air around here. Thank you. |
OP here, thanks for the tips. I have 1-year-old twins and we only have the nanny five hours a day, and about two of those hours are during nap time. |
Um, OP, 1 year old twins don't always sleep the same schedule, no matter how hard you try... |
NP. What's your point? |
NP here. A five hour day is very different than a 10 hour day. No one needs a significant break during a 5 hour day. Ideally, with hands on childcare being only 60-70% of this job, a flexible nanny/housekeeper type would have been hired. But if that ship has sailed, I'd come up with a list of jobs (child laundry, dishwasher, straightening up play area, stocking kids supplies, etc) that are mutually acceptable. I'd have the understanding that nap time might not always happen, and that's totally understandable, but the majority of any time with both children sleeping should be spent tackling something on the list. |
rest is what she should do!!!! |
My point is that OP shouldn't count on everything being done, as twins seem to instinctively know when you have tasks you want to finish. |
I love how you treat your nanny, congratulations for bee a good boss.,my boss do the same to me. : ![]() ![]() ![]() |
