+1 It is like asking, "Is it okay if I have sex with your husband?" Never acceptable and a sign of a much bigger issue. |
I totally agree with you PP. No parent on this planet can be that stupid to think it is acceptable for a caregiver to leave the premises and run an errand. Why would they even be on a forum asking if it was okay? It's so obvious it is NOT. ![]() |
I know this is going to sound really shocking to all of you but.... more families do that then you'd know. and I am talking mom and dad, not even nanny!! |
Why being racist? |
It's not and I had the same thought as the PP. I have found that older, foreign women would generally think is is ok. We had a home daycare provider who was Bolivian who thought the same, I found out she was taking the kids to the bus stop 4 blocks from the house and waiting there for 20 minutes or so while my child and another slept at home. Once I discovered that of course we left but she was just shocked and thought it was stupid of me to be concerned and she did mention something about back home, blah, blah, blah, |
Unlicensed daycare. You take your chances when you use one. |
OP -- You don't work from home, right? I assume not, but that's the only logical explanation I can possibly think of for this question. |
