If this is just a babysitting gig and not your new full time nanny job I would either quit or let the kid scream. Just don't let it get to you. And your doing nothing wrong that mom is nuts

Op here. I wanted to update after the kind responses.

He was literally a different baby after his first nap. We played, he are, we laughed, etc. The only time he got fussy was when he wanted to go down for his second nap. I think he just had to get used to me. I'm relieved both of us had a good day
