umm, $21k a year isn't nothing and shouldn't the babysitter be getting social security benefits? if the roles were reversed I bet you would! That is why you have to comply for anything over $1,900. Sheesh... as you say!

Home pay DD is only $25/quarter. That would be a reasonable compromise.

If she can't deal with a three day hold on her check she is running pretty tight but given how little she makes that isn't surprising.

For those who say pay her cash-how then do you expect the OP to claim her childcare FSA, etc?

Use another payroll co. Home pay is one of the better ones to deal with, but it is also one of the most expensive ones. Look into GTM.

Do you use Homepay? It is $195/qtr and then add 25$ for direct deposit and 95$ for end of the year filing.
