$18 an hour X 40 hrs per week X 52 weeks= $37,440
vs.
$20 an hour X 32 hrs per week X 52 weeks= $33,260
PLUS
39 (one day, 75% of weeks)X 8 hrs per day X $20 per hour=$6,240

A lower rate with an unspecified but likely frequent number of PTO is likely more appealing and also may be cheaper

Very good point!

At $18/hr with a 40 hour week guarantee...
Would you rearrange the hours each week? I would be less likely to agree to this. Or would any additional hours be paid at overtime rates even tough she dorsnt have to work on Friday? You definitely have to pay extra for flexibility.

I have a job like this. I have a set start time schedule, so between 9 am and 5:00pm Monday- Friday I am available to them. In their busy season I will work over 5:00pm and I am paid overtime.

OP here: The start and end times would be the same each day, no changing that around or surprises there!
