Purple Hair? RSS feed

I just selected an AP and ruled out all candidates that had visible tattoos, colored hair and unconventional piercings. Not professional. However, if the AP showed up like that I suppose I would just deal and see how it goes.

When did Au Pair become a profession? What next. You want her to cut her hair, wear pink lipstick, no green or blue nail polish. I'd love to see what you look like.

It obviously means she'll beat your children and steal from you.

She probably drinks on the job and will try to steal the husband too. Obviously, because she has purple hair.

Not to mention the fact that she'll probably have the audacity to refuse to cleanup after you for free, or worst of all, she may help herself to your organic apples and filtered water!!!! Cuz everyone knows purple hair = freeloading, kid-beating, husband-stealing, law-breaking nanny with an attitude problem. Fire her. Definitely.

I have always considered myself very liberal, but I do not like adults with cheaply colored unnatural hair colors. It actually surprised me a bit in my own judgment. That being said, she is 24 and I find that harmless. I also don't mind well done and toned down colors, such as a professionally colored lavender, even on adults. If it looked gaudy and low class/tacky, it would probably affect my views, even though I wish it didn't.
