Dear Lord, how many times must nannies be told that you are NOT a salaried employee but an HOURLY employees and are paid OT for all time worked over 40 hours. 700 divided by 40 is $17.50 an hour, OT is $26.25 an hour. If you work 8 am to 6 pm five a week then you should be paid $700 plus 262.25 which comes to 962.50. Tell these cheating creeps that this is FEDERAL law and they Have no choice. Stop letting yourself be screwed.

That's only if they agreed to a date of $17.50 per hour, which would be insane since they aren't paying taxes. As you can see by previous posts, OP never mentioned an hourly rate. If they back into the legal overtime, the base rate of about 12.75 (plus OT) works out to the $700 per week OP gets. As an aside, if they aren't paying taxes I really doubt they care about OT laws.

Apologies, I mis-read a post where you said as much.
Even though you make a low hourly rate, I still say:
*unless you have an agreed upon hourly rate (doesn't sound like you do?) they can technically say they are doing things above board. See my post on the hourly base rate breakdown and the OT rate breakdown.
*More money won't make you feel any less overworked. It's fine to want more money, but don't blame it on your long day.
*You say you're getting to leave 15-40 minutes early most days? That really adds up. I'd love to be allowed to leave that early even once a week.

for starters 8 to 6 is 50 thats illegal to start with after 40 is time and a half, wake up smell the coffee!!!!
