Well being credit dependent is one way to go through life. We bought both of our vehicles in cash and are now living on only one salary to buy our home outright in a couple years. The economic downturn taught valuable lessons about credit dependent lifestyles.

I bet you did that on a nanny's average pay of, what did the report say, $12/hr right? Yeah, no reason to use a credit card, those nannies must be rolling in money.

No one is talking about being credit dependent, although most people cannot afford to buy houses outright in cash in this area. Obviously most people do not have $300,000+ sitting around.
