Admittedly most nannies are kind of crappy. Parents need cheap childcare, the nannies need money. neither party is really invested in making the situation great, so Im sure a lot of nannies do end up doing things that would get them fired if more people had nanny cams. I'm not talking about graphic child abuse, but more like hitting, yelling, slapping, spanking against parents wishes, etc

What a ridiculous comment!!! Don't project your bitter attitude on all working parents and all nannies!

Most nannies are kind of crappy???!!!

What a subjective and false statement!

I am not sure what planet this uneducated person resides on, but someone of this belief has no right commenting on this thread.

I feel sorry for parents who hire substitute care they don't trust. All that worry must put them in their graves sooner. So sad.

I am sure depending on state law there are rules to abide by here. Recording sound, videotaping someone etc. without their knowledge can be illegal. Check your laws before you make a decision.

Personally if I were to install nanny cams they would be in every single room. There wouldn't be a cam-less room. They would be out in the open, but I'd probably not mention them either as they can easily be spotted. I wouldn't say "Oh by the way we have cameras everywhere.", the nanny would just see that on her own.
