I wouldn't hire her . $13 is NOT $5-10. You probably replied to her on large part due to her rate which she is now changing. That's bullshit and if I were you would have nothing more to do with this person.

OP here, these were my thoughts as well. We gave her a shot and the kids enjoyed her. Since it's two kids, I figured it was an ok price price. We are going to suggest reducing to $10 if we have to provide transportation.

OP here, these were my thoughts as well. We gave her a shot and the kids enjoyed her. Since it's two kids, I figured it was an ok price price. We are going to suggest reducing to $10 if we have to provide transportation.

You should negotiate a flat rate for transportation independent of hourly rate. Why should transportation cost more if she stays with your kids 7 hours v. 3 hours?

You are such a terrible troll If $13/hour is too much for a sitter, you need to stay your ass at home. And if you don't want to drive her, then don't, but charging her for it is ridiculous.

Can't you find a sitter that you don't need to pick-up and bring home and who understands English? Seriously, why are you dealing with this at all? $13 an hour is on the low side but not unheard of for a babysitter.
