Is my thinking correct or is this just part of the job?

I can't imagine not wanting to be with and comfort my child when they are sick. Some people just shouldn't have kids. The sad part is you are probably very important to the children and the closest thing they have to a real mother. I would bring up the pay and say you don't feel that it is fair being docked pay when the reason you were sick wad because you were directly caring for her sick child.
