OP here, they refused to pay, and I've decided to just look for a new job. I thought I would be able to just work thru my anger but I can't. I'm very very bitter this morning and angry. And the house is a pigstye. I'm over this family and this job.

PSo take them to small claims court, where they likely don't give a shit about your family's budget. Also, if you did not previously have an agreement on how much they would pay you, go after them for your hourly rate + ot minus 8 hours a night for sleeping (if you were able to sleep through the night)

Yes you should look for a new job. In other circumstances, I would say give them a 2 week notice, but in this case, I will just say quit as soon as you get a new job. I am just wondering if they still paid you whenever you worked for them since they got back? And to think she thinks $150 is enough is absurd!!! Please nannies, always,always, ALWAYS talk with the families, have everything figured out (pay, hours etc...) before accepting any kind of job, whether to keep the kids while they travel or to travel with them. If it is a family you do not trust too much, I would suggest to write what you agreed on and make them sign it. I hope you find a better job with a better family who knows how to spend in their budget and do not take advantage of their nanny.
