Valentines Day Plans

I have an 18 month and we made cards for both mom and dad. Got out all the paint, markets, crayons, stickers, etc and went to town. I don't expect her to understand the occasion but she had fun decorating! I know the parents will absolutely love anything she makes so just a small gesture.

If you're being genuine, that's sad! You sound like one of those people that doesn't understand that sometimes a process is more important than the end result. If you're just bored and posting random crap to get attention then whatever...better than you actually thinking that a kid shouldn't give a parent a card because it'll end up in the trash (like pretty much any card I get does, not because I don't appreciate it but there's no way I can keep every single card I get in my life, doesn't mean people shouldn't give them to me!!)

I am a mom and would find it really weird if my nanny gave me something from my kids related to that special day that doesn't concern them at all.

I place a very high value on my nanny consciously working to develop my kids' emotional intelligence and social skills. It's far more important in the pre-school years than learning ABCs and counting skills. Valentine's Day is a perfect excuse to start teaching young kids about love, what it feels like to give and receive it, how to show care for others, etc.
