Lowest you've ever been paid?

Back in 1994! In San Jose, CA. A live in position. $400 a week for 55 hours. Back then no one paid their nannies hourly. It was fine for me. I was young and had the run of the house and time of my life after hours.

Nope. Just now for casual babysitting. Some people truly have no idea what to pay for care.

$15 as a nanny $12 for babysitting in Boston.

When I was a teenager I'd offer to work for family or family friends and only accept candy as payment but I was just being nice.

Technically zero since I babysit for family for free, but for paid gigs, $10 an hour in both Southern California and the Southwest.

First nanny job was at $12/hour in 2005. Before that for babysitting I think I probably made around $8-$12/hour, but honestly don't remember.

$1.75an hour for manual labor (it was illegal -- I was 17 and didn't know better - quit after 3 days) Minimum wage at the time was $2.40.
