CASA, yes.

Take it with a grain of salt of course, I could be wrong. I'm a nanny working on my BSW

this is correct. Run from social work.

Do you have personal experience as a social worker? If so, please feel free to share your story. Either way, since I'm applying to an MSW program I think it's obvious that I've already decided on this. Social work might not be for everyone (e.g. you) but someone must do it. I am willing to do it. goodbye.

It may be great for you. I was a nanny, was a MSW/licensed social worker for 15 years, and now moved onto something else (yes, with a part-time nanny). It was one of the worst work environments I worked in. I found social workers to be some of the nastiest people around. The system is set up to help you and your clients fail and there is no administrative support. The administrators, often who have never practiced in the field, make poor choices effecting your life and have no consideration to how it look on paper and how it works in reality are very different. I have only met a few social workers who are truly happy. About half I know quit to be SAHM's as the stress overwhelmed them (as did me) and about half of those have returned and most of us have moved on to other work or SAHM. I thought it would be great. I really wanted to help people. In all those years, I'm sure I helped a few but the system is so flawed it is near impossible to do more and what really needs to be done.
