That they pay for with their labor you mean? And how valuable really is living with your boss at work. Its not a walk in the park. And they *should* get the same OT as everyone else, given their wages are ALREADY reduced. Also, when I was a live in, it was just the room, no "board".

I know what board means thanks. No they didn't. I did my own grocery shopping and had my own fridge and kitchenette.

I charge extra if they need me to live-in. It's not my preference.

I agree that it makes no sense that live in nannies do not need to be paid OT in some states. But it is still a fact that it is the law in those places.

Well the law says you don't have to, but that doesn't mean you can't if you believe that is what's right.

OP you should google and research because you never get legit answers on DCUM. I heard somewhere that it wasn't required that live ins get overtime however, I don't know if that's true or not so get real answers by researching.
