This. I don't ant to call you a fool but I agree. Family 2 is going to use and abuse you.
Traffic smaffic... you're getting paid $20 an hour to sit in it! (and I live in the SF Bay Area, I KNOW traffic)

Haha, yeah traffic around here can be hellish. I like to stick with non-driving positions because I would rather take muni and not have to worry about parking (it takes about the same amount of time anyways).

Didn't read all the comments but if take family 1. It will be more long term! A 10 year old wont need care in a year or 2!

It depends on why you are only working part time. If you later want to find a full time position job 1 will be a more relevant reference with a 20 month old.

Job 1 actually sounds like more work with 2 kids that need supervision than job 2 with just a 10 yr and light housekeeping.

Agree with others that 13 miles could be minimal or could be over an hour in traffic. If you have a car that is bad on mileage, hate traffic, and don't like driving in bad weather take job 2. If you don't mind a long commute for just 3 hours, take job 1.

Like a pp I was going to memtion longevity. A 10 yr old isn't foing to need you for long. Family 1 will need you longer, pays a lot better an ddoesn't require a lot of grunt work.
