Haha, yeah traffic around here can be hellish. I like to stick with non-driving positions because I would rather take muni and not have to worry about parking (it takes about the same amount of time anyways). |
Didn't read all the comments but if take family 1. It will be more long term! A 10 year old wont need care in a year or 2! |
It depends on why you are only working part time. If you later want to find a full time position job 1 will be a more relevant reference with a 20 month old.
Job 1 actually sounds like more work with 2 kids that need supervision than job 2 with just a 10 yr and light housekeeping. Agree with others that 13 miles could be minimal or could be over an hour in traffic. If you have a car that is bad on mileage, hate traffic, and don't like driving in bad weather take job 2. If you don't mind a long commute for just 3 hours, take job 1. |
Like a pp I was going to memtion longevity. A 10 yr old isn't foing to need you for long. Family 1 will need you longer, pays a lot better an ddoesn't require a lot of grunt work. |
