Some do, but the reality is that the nanny, not the parent, is the one seeking employment. Parent and nanny are not equally situated in that context. |
If someone doesn't have a profile picture I wonder why.
I mean, it is not that hard to upload a picture online these days. I sometimes suspect that the profile is fake or that the profile person does not want certain other people to know that she is looking for a nanny job. I wonder what the reasons are for this, etc. And yes, I am sure those that post with a child do so with parental permission. |
I'll be honest. I don't have a profile picture because I have a scar on my face and I think I would be prematurely judged. Fortunately, I have met great families who after interviewing have called me back, so I guess the not having a profile picture is not a deterrent for me atleast. |
+1 My profile has my kids' photos on it. If a nanny wanted a photo of me she could have one, but I felt like she'd be more interested in how I see my kids. |
Parents who can afford one of the few top-notch nannies, compete with each other, to land the professional nanny of their choice. Of course, they most likely would not waste their valuable time on sittercity or care.com. |
