Parents: Candidate who takes notes during interview, pro or con? RSS feed

I just wasn't sure if it was something that would be looked down upon or not. We met at a public place and were sitting at a small table so I was taking notes on a single piece of paper right in front of her so it would have been very easy for her to notice (actually impossible not to notice) how I was taking notes.

I am probably just thinking too far into this.

You have a new crisis at least once a day, sometimes more. I hope you have a good therapist to work with.

How is this a crisis? This is far from a crisis, just asking for advice and insight.

My only concern was that I was writing so far and there was so much information coming at me that my notes were completely unorganized. I was writing things all over the paper and not in the neatest handwriting (I was writing very quickly and trying to maintain lots of eye contact). I am an organized person and the first thing I did when the interview was over was re-write the notes in an organized fashion. Now I'm just worried that I came off as completely unorganized because of my note taking. What do you think?

I'm sorry, but I can't say that I would ever consider someone unorganized FOR taking notes... That is something only organized people do.

19:55 here. This has been my experience with note taking. I just don't find it's really worth the hassle. In general I try to get the pertinent info before we ever get to the interview stage.
