OP here, I'm the one who lived the stories. Unfortunately, there are insane people out there. The stories I told you, the cat, the suicide and the hoarder are true stories. I don't need to make up stories for everyone's entertainment. I also have good stories, happy moments, good birthdays, smiles...

No, just NO. This is ridiculous and, if it's true, quite frankly you're just as ridiculous for actually following such criminally insane "rules."

HA. I don't follow the rules, I do sit down at the table and eat my lunch. And I do go to the restroom if I have to. I do not accept such slavery without the whips. And I am looking for another position, but it's just hard to see these kind of red flags during interview, the family looked so nice and normal when I went over to their place to talk. And I will not just pack and leave before having something in sight, I have bills to pay too. SO I am sucking it up for now, but I'm out soon.

Well, as the PP to whom you're referring, then I apologize for calling you ridiculous. If you were actually TRYING to follow said "rules," then you sure as hell would have been, lol... At any rate, good luck on finding a new position. These parents are all types of crazy.

Nannies need to get reference letters for the parents. Then phone the references to verify. If the parents later start to pull this kind of crazy crap, and you have to leave, you call back the references and tell them about it. Maybe that would help some of these horror situations.

Apology accepted - And thanks! I follow other rules but not the restroom one, it's impossible to avoid nature haha. I respect every employer's wishes and try to please them, but if talking won't solve my problem, I'll look for a normal family. I know someone out there will be happy to have a nanny like me

I don't follow any rules that don't make sense. That's one of the differences between a child and me. The child doesn't need to understand and agree, but I do. Obviously, I will avoid any potential employer who is not on board with that. Parents who want a professional nanny, do so for her expertise, not for her obedience. They can have an au pair for that.

You really think that none of these stories are true? Climb out of that rock you are hiding under. My post was real and I'm sure some others were as well.

Some mbs will continue to live in their fantasy world.

What a bitch. Did she apologize?

Yes, she did apologize.

Every Sunday morning Mb bangs on the locked bathroom door, like she's going to take it down. Poor hubby is just trying to read the ny times with a little 'peace & quite'.
I feel so sorry for the guy for getting a wife like her.

He picked her. Maybe she changed after the wedding.
