Stealing Items? Nanny Confessions RSS feed

Studies show most nannies DO steal. Most wont admit to it though. They usually don't steal large, expensive items for the most part it's little things like food, toilet paper, kitchen utensils, etc. Anything they think would go unnoticed.

This is the main reason I wouldn't hire someone to work in MY home.
Don't you mean all black nannies steal?

I see more and more parents teaching their kids, if you cheat, just don't get caught. The parents themselves are modeling this fine behavior. Lovely.

Uh. I am serious. WTF is your problem?

Not sure what "studies" you're reading but I'm a nanny and I don't steal. Oh, I used an envelope once that wasn't mine. Sue me.

Yeah, I'm the one who asked the PP if she was serious about replacing a ziplock baggie. I can't imagine being in a professional relationship where I had to count plastic baggies or now envelopes. Apparently it's fairly common.

I know right? So ridiculous. And the food comments are too. Do families really have a problem with the nannies eating their food when they are there all day? When I take my charge out MB gives me money to take him out to lunch and pays for my meal as well. These people are nuts.....

I took 6 detergent pods. I took them because mb was out getting massages and shopping while she was 'stuck in traffic' to get home to her kids. I only did it because after working 14 hour days I was too tired to buy my own so I could do my children's laundry once home so they could go to school.

I've never stolen a thing from anyone, because I have morals.

When I was 4 I stole a pack of gum from the grocery store and I felt so guilty I fessed to my parents and they made me go to the store manager and tell them.

Never have I stolen since.

Oh please, show us the study or shut the fuck up.

I've NEVER stolen, as a matter of fact I bet I've bought more stuff for my charges than most other nannies would...not that MB/DB don't have money, they just don't have time.

Luckily I'm payed well so I never had any issues.

If you feel as though you aren't paid well, find a new job! Don't steal shit..are you kidding me? Some of you nannies make me embarrassed for my profession.
