I have to be at the Chevy Chase building for 2 hours. I saw that the garage in that building had horrible reviews (small spaces). Anyone here who has used any other garage (paid or free) near the Friendship Heights Metro? What would you recommend? How much is the Saks 5th Avenue parking per hour? Thanks! |
a va Use the one under Whole Foods and get a validation at WF. I think the first hour is free with the validation. |
Go to the one behind the former Collection building. Mostly surface parking. I don't remember what the cost is but I don't think it's much.
The lot under the Bloomingdales and Whole Foods is very nice with plenty of space. I normally get my parking validated by one of the shops but I think it's maybe $2/hour? |
I always just use the Saks parking lot across the street. |
It is much cheaper than that awful garage or free if you validate. |
You do have to buy at least $15 worth of stuff I think. |
OP here. Thank you all for the suggestions.
@16:23 For the Saks 5th Avenue parking, do we have to enter through the Tiffany's side? Or is the entrance opposite the SP garage (Chevy Chase building garage) also open? Any idea how much it is per hour? |
NP- I always use Saks. You can go in on either side. |
OP here. I ended up parking at Saks 5th Avenue parking lot and I thought I would post the prices here in case anyone else searches for the same:
Parking rates in April 2021 at the Saks 5th avenue open area parking lot in Friendship Heights: 1 hour - $3 2 hours - $5 3 hours - $7 |
Saks parking changed! Airgarage management. No longer free n weekends and it’s $5 per hour. If you buy merch in Saks you can get a code. There are no attendants and it’s all done by cameras and cellphones. It’s awful. |
I always park in the outdoor lot behind the Collection buildings where Potomac Pizza, Clydes, etc. are. So easy to walk down the block as needed too. |
I leave any doctor who moves to the Barlow Building because I refuse to park in that garage. 5530 is nearly as bad. I’m going to doctors in Germantown to avoid parking in Friendship Heights these days. |
Parking in the garage beside 5530 Wisconsin Ave parking spaces are tight and when it's full the sign never displays that it is. When I come is this area I park at Saks fifth for $5 per hour $14 for the day. If you purchase anything from Saks fifth you'll get a discount code to use towards parking. |
My dr is in the building above the metro bus bay and the parking there is fine, but I think it costs 3/6/9 |
Do not use Air Garage at Saks! They are horrible. I had a Saks Discount Code and they took my card and ran it, and said I had to show what I bought. I felt violated, showing strangers my receipts, NO WAY!
Take care of yourselves and park anywhere except Air Garage |
