| According to central office, final grades should be posted in the next week or so. |
| OP here, my kid’s health class finally posted in ParentVue. |
Where did it post? Under documents? I don’t see my kid’s grade posted. |
You need to look at “course history”. |
I have. It still lists 2022 and the old grade. |
| When and how will the actual grade be shown (not just completion)? |
Within Course History, scroll down to Student Course History and toggle Detail on. The course and grade are displayed there. |
Does the date say 2023? |
Thank you! So it seems like it took about 2-3 weeks to get posted. Assuming that repeats for the second semester it seems like we will not be able to speak to the guidance counselor about a schedule change until right before school starts. If anyone sees it pop up, can you respond to this thread so we can connect with the counselor as soon as possible? |
It doesn’t say the year but does show my child as a 9th grader. |
| It should say SS 23 under term, but maybe it is different for incoming high school students. |
You don't need to wait for the grade to be posted to contact the counselor; they can access the grades and adjust the schedules accordingly now. |
|
I just went looking for the schedule change request form and it says that all requests must be made by August 17th! So if anyone was trying to wait for the grade like I was, don't! I sent the form in today so it should be taken care of this week.
* This might be school-specific (Churchill), but I don't want anyone to wait too long even if it's a slightly different date.. |
| Just fyi- my child’s 2nd semester grade has now been added to ParentVUE. |
Typically high schools "freeze" requested schedule changes the week before school starts to focus on new enrollments. During the first week of school, only scheduling errors like a blank period or an incorrect level (language, math) are prioritized. Usually beginning the second week, counselors will take requests again, and make them depending on space available. If a summer school course was completed that was scheduled for fall or that impacts the level for a fall course, then that is a problem and should be flagged to the counselor regardless of supposed due dates for changes. |
