| No evidence of my kid’s summer school class (just finished) in ParentVue. Does anyone know when it will show up there with the final grade? |
|
I’m not sure, but my child’s teacher told them that they could email directly on Tuesday and ask so he did to confirm his grade.
I also wonder when we reach out to the counselor to change a class for next year if needed. Do we wait until the 2nd semester grade is posted and turn email them? |
| OP here, the work and grades were in Canvas but nothing in ParentVue. Now all evidence of the course has disappeared from Canvas and still nothing in ParentVue. |
| Most school counselors want course change request by Aug1. |
Students won't complete the class until 8/8 and I don't know when grades will post. As a parent, should I reach out to the counselor prior to the grade to request the change? Do the counselors know which students are taking the courses or is it just up to the parents/students to notify them? |
| In ParentVue, everything says “not available for this school” - no grades, course history, etc. |
It always says that over the summer. |

I said this in another thread, but in case you didn’t see it and it’s helpful- although I don’t see the grade for the class, when I go to “course history” in ParentVUE it does show that my child now has completed 50% of his geometry credit (the 1st semester) so it has registered in some way.
I already reached out to his counselor about what to do for his schedule this coming year and he said just to reach back out after the class ends and it will be no problem to switch it. I don’t think the official grade will be posted until they run the SGGCR after the 1st quarter but I do think counselors have access to the information. |
Counselors want any course change as soon as possible, but certainly before the semester starts. There are too many schedule changes that happen the first week or two - much better for that to happen before school begins. Changes that are a priority are anything to do with graduation requirements, especially if a course completed over the summer means the student needs a different course in the fall (or, if a student was supposed to take something over the summer but didn't, so now the fall schedule needs to add that course.) |
You did say it and it still doesn’t apply to anyone else. No it does not say that in ParentVue. The class is neither listed as complete or in progress. |
For my kid who took a class for grade replacement this summer, it still contains the old data (i.e., term, grade) under course history. |

It is strange that the 1st semester grades aren’t posted anywhere. I’m sure they are coming, but it would be nice to know that it is official.
7 days left and done with 75% of the course- whoa! I’m very impressed with my child’s dedication as I don’t think I could have done the same. |
I agree. The last progress report on edmentum is dated 7-16, when the class ended 7-18. I feel like I saw a final grade report but not don’t see it anywhere. |
| There is still no grade posted from Health A and it is not recorded as completed under student history...I wish they would at least send out an acknowledgement of final grade and that it was completed. Our student is signed up for Health A in the fall and the counselor said they can't change unless central shares the grade info with them. |
Same here. |
