Store with good selection of women's petite dresses/pants

I'm going on a trip to the Mediterranean next summer and I thought I'd hit some sales on summer dresses/pants. What stores (nothing fancy) would you go to for the best selection of petite dresses/pants? I went to Kohl's and everything there was for tall people.

None. All in store shopping is bad for petites. Sometimes you can find a tiny petite section at J Crew, and J Crew outlets, but good luck.

Ann Taylor and Loft usually have petite sections, too, but then you have to wear Ann Taylor and Loft.

I'd order some stuff to try at home and plan to return a fair amount of it.

White House Black Market has some stuff that's better quality and not overly floral like Loft/Taylor.

Thanks. I like pants from the Loft but I rarely wear dresses so I'm not sure where to turn for them. As much as I hate shopping, I also hate buying stuff online and having to return it. Wasn't there a store back in the day for just petite sizes?

Abercrombie. Truly. Most of their pants come in short and extra short. Most dresses come in petite.

Don't underestimate British brands at Bloomingdales.... I am petite (5'1") and have had good luck with Reiss, Ted Baker, and HOBBS London

petite lifer over here! and this is the best piece of advice. buy whatever you think you might want online. make sure to get multiple sizes. then try it all on at home. return what doesn't fit or what you don't like.

Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, J Crew, Gap... all will let you buy online and return in the store to get that instant return credit.

Athleta and Boden have petites. I have also had good luck lately with JCrew Factory. But this is all online. The only store with decent selection in person is Ann Taylor/Loft.

Good summer dresses at Tommy Bahama. I'm 5'2 and find I dont need to shorten them. Best selection is online - just a few things in store

You might be thinking of Petite Sophisticate, but they're long gone. Like PPs said, other than Ann Taylor/Loft, you pretty much have to shop online.

Umm, OP was shopping at Kohl’s- seems unlikely she wants to spring for $300-$400 per item brands.

Talbots has a decent sized petite section.
