I’ve wondered about this. The sheer financial scale Diddy and Epstein operated on was not explainable to me - Epstein is obviously more wtf (Wexner alone can’t explain it. The idea that Epstein was Leon Black’s tax expert makes NO a sense). But even having a record label and eventually the liquor deals does not totally explain Combs. The fashion line was never profitable. He was not a touring artist himself, and not all of his protégés succeeded. So as crazy as it sounds, some kind of government backed extortionate practice seems likely to me, and I strongly suspect that he and Epstein had young sexually abused women and men killed. It’s all so creepy and I do think that as AUSA’s regularly make public the factual bases of what exactly no-name criminals did, that the public is entitled to full information about these men, victims names redacted.

Yes, this. Thank you for expressing it better than I did earlier in the thread. I’m not looking to be an apologist for Diddy, he is vile and I have always hated him (the way he used Biggie was pretty disgusting in and of itself). But this is exactly how I think he wielded his power, in service of his double life.

I agree with both perspectives but more with yours. It’s just like Weinstein - there is no way a Meryl Streep hadn’t heard about “Harvey girls.” But she didn’t GAF. Her own foot-faced daughters were never going to be raped - that was for prettier “trash” without powerful, established parents. It’s really the same. I fully believe that everyone had an inkling that young, attractive, to them nameless, party guests who stayed while bold faced names left were the entertainment for Combs and others. They don’t and did not ever care. I am positive that not only general rumors but specific stories about specific individuals made victims of of drugging, coercion, blackmail, rape, murder, and retaliation were very well-known by the elite at those parties even if they never participated.
