Plenty of houses at 900k went fast in PH but they are new houses.

Same with everywhere including Arlington and McLean from the other threads

Not comparable.

Kids riding bikes around the neighborhood with their friends all day, walking to the library, cookouts with neighbors, swapping my excess tomatoes for their excess peppers - the usual stuff.

I'm thinking of repainting the front door once this heat breaks, but not sure what color to do with. Good thing there's no HOA to limit my options.

Hmmm...what else is new? Oooh, that new hipster taco place finally opened up. It's easy to walk to, right behind Jason's Deli near Whole Foods. You should give it a try. And the old post office is turning into a Crisp and Juicy. So many dinner options so close by! Rumor is Wegman's is bidding to build on Colshire Rd., near the new metro stop, but we will see what comes of that.

Thanks for checking in!

Pimmit Hills resident here who vacations in the Caribbean in the winter, thinks the neighborhood is just fine, and never ever tires of these threads. Thanks, as always, for the laughs tonight!

Have you ever thought that they could be different people?

Nope. The anti-Yorktown thread was obviously started by one of the handful of over-the-top PH/Marshall boosters. No one else lives or dies by GreatSchools ratings like them.

I agree, I knew it was the PH booster right away.

Anonymous wrote:There is one PH booster who posts very aggressive obnoxious posts that seem similar to each other. It seems like one crazy person and its hard to believe there is more than one person like him. It's obvious from the responses here that a lot of people think the PH booster is completely obnoxious and are happy to bash him. I feel kind of bad for the rest of you who live there because this one person has given many, many people a terrible impression of PH.

I agree with you that this person is obnoxious. But the thing is, people in this thread are trying to match him/her, instead of ignoring him/her, which would be an appropriate response. You think obnoxious behavior somehow improves if the person behind it is more articulate, and pretends to have Taste, capital T? It doesn't. It is the same shit. I always wonder why seemingly sane people fall for the booster bait every time she/he posts, and then try to sound exactly like that person.

Because it's fun. This notion that Pimmit Hills is some exceptional, desirable neighborhood is hilarious on its face. So, we have fun with it.

...and here we go with the snobby neighborhood bashing again.

The bashing is a direct and predictable response to the over-the-top obnoxious touting of Pimmit Hills on DCUM. If you recognize that, your comment suggests that you either think the touting is warranted, in which case you're delusional, or that you think the touting should be ignored, in which case you should be equally prepared to ignore the bashing.

Or, perhaps you are really having fun with this, too, but don't want to admit it.

There was no obnoxious, over-the-top touting of PH on this thread and, therefore, there is no reason or justification to start in fresh with the bashing.

You sound very reasonable, PP. Yawn. Maybe try another forum - this one doesn't seem to be a good fit.
