Being dismissive of parent concerns about the departures of so many faculty and staff members suggests that some people on this thread don’t have a stake in the school. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the head—and anecdotally, it’s not much—the daily experience of my dd has been changed and not for the better. The sense of an open, confident, and happy school community has been degraded and this is coming from my daughter and her friends. There is a sense of confusion and apprehension among her peers and all of the personnel changes, however they are justified, are impacting the student
experience. Knee jerk reactions that defend the head don’t take into account families who have invested years and a lot of money into what was a remarkable school. Growing pains are to be expected but there is something larger and more insidious at work

It's just another example of the HOS's rash decision-making, fueled by her insecurities and impulses. Everyone else pays for it -- students, administrators, teachers.

But, hey, the Board is happy because she charms them with her lies. And they don't have the will or desire to search for a HOS worthy of the institution. It's embarrassing.

Don't bother going back and forth with the river road reality checker

Pls see this link for more info on CCO (and another departure). It’s not a hypothetical situation being described: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1315779.page

If there is an illegal firing you can easily dispute it and request compensation. Most likely the firing or departure is justified. You like it or not.

And ultimately, people are free to look for better opportunities. You seem to want everyone to stay in the same place a the hos depart. Who do you think you are to decide on other people’s lives?

DP. I am a Holton parent and have no opinion on the CCO’s departure.

But I am starting to wonder if our tuition money is going into paying someone in the communications office to monitor DCUM and defend the HOS

I wonder if I should encourage someone that talks about the house renovation of the HoS? Is that relevant for Holton?

No really. I am just against cyberbullying based on the comments of a deeply disturbed staff (or former staff).

If you know the facts, you know that there were two departures. And yes, I agree that the school acted appropriately.

You know about the departure but you don’t know why or what’s going on.

You aren’t owed those details.

You don’t think a paying family should know more?

No. Why do you think you should?

You either work for the school or you’re obtuse.

Yes, incoherent posts need some reality check.

We're so glad that you're willing to invest so much of your time to respond to and detail any and every Holton/Penny related thread.

Sure. Having a reality check is always helpful, specially since the multiple threads have zero impact in terms of changing the HOS.
