Admittedly you should known that those people were screened, but our screening failed to show any problems. So Trump talked about stopping immigration for Muslim after California attack and after the Paris attack. He wants a stop till the system is fixed. Most normal people thought that would mean no immigration from countries like Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc until the system for screening worked. It is at best disingenuous and a lie to say he wants a permanent ban on Muslims. He wants the system fix. I guess that is unlike you? I really question what your solution is to the problem which resulted in the deaths of Americans who were replying on the U.S. to screen and identify these type of people. Calling people a bigot is a good start, but does little to address the problem.

Yeah, because ordering a time-limited (6 mos) pause on processing refugees (or any religion from what I can tell) from a country where we had recently been at war *after* clear evidence of a problem with our screening process in order to review and improve said screening process is exactly the same as indefinitely "pausing" immigration of all people from anywhere in the world based solely on their religion.

Trump just wants a ban temporarily as we get a better system in place for screening. We have ISIS committing terrible attacks and Europe with intentions of doing it here. I don't think Trump's position is unreasonable
