The only way I could do this for my kids was to forgive and learn to brotherly-love my former spouse. It’s hard (took years) but I did it.

Here is another one of where parent says
“Kids and I are living apart now“

“apart” used like this usually means the children relocated unilaterally “away” from
the other parent.

That is how the child/children is/are described.
