You seem to be worried that this new team will do well and compete with your program. By HS, the ranking success of a team is based on the strength of its players. That is not as important for recruiting if you are a great student and strong player from a club that gets into the right tournaments and get the looks from college coaches.
Here is an entire thread from a few years ago about YJ trying to build up a DMV team. It may have failed then, but trust us this time.

And don’t try to convince us that YJMA can develop players because their 2030 team is ‘very good’, because they aren’t. They are good relative to other 2030 teams in the DMV who are B level teams except for BLC.

Maybe they are trying to take advantage of the depth of talent in the 29 year but few team choices for high school other than cap and mddc
The thing at Stone Ridge is for YJMA. YJMA has been trying (unsuccessfully) for years to build up that program in this area. With my oldest a few years ago I got the sales pitch including the benefits of the YJ name brand and recruiting history up north. It did not work then, and I don't see why it would be different this time.
100% inaccurate. YJMA has NEVER sold a DMV team and only got its 2030 from MCE. DMV2029 is all new for girls who want to play in HS/college. YJ can get into any tournament and is the most well-connected club in the DMV. Great option. The clinic is open to anyone without commitment. See the flyer on their IG. No hate.
