I understand the impulse to wish harm on convicted offenders, but making prisons more unsafe or miserable than they need to be is counterproductive and beneath us as a society. We don’t use torture for punishment.

Anyone covering for rapists needs to be investigated, and held accountable. No one should be protected from appropriate jail time. No one. FBI should step up already.

I would be upset if a guard or nurse got stabbed.
But if Larry Nassar wanted to avoid getting stabbed in prison, there was a super easy way to avoid that. F*** that guy.

The reports of understaffing in that prison are harrowing. Obviously few people are going to care about what happens to Nassar- he was a bad man on the outside and clearly did not make friends on the inside. But if an inmate can shank a prisoner they can shank a guard or a nurse, too.

LOL you think the FBI director monitors every tip and allegation that comes into a local FBI field office? The entire point was that the local FBI manager in Indianapolis sat on the allegation because he was trying to shake down the US Olympic Committee for a job. It frankly sounds like blackmail.
It went nowhere because it’s the government. They don’t work in a speedy manner even if young kids are getting molested. They drink their coffees, look at the papers stacked on their desks, and watch the clock until it’s 4 pm and they can go home. It’s not their kids getting molested so whatever. When they get around to looking at the complaint, you can get grey pubic hairs. They do not give a shit. It’s still on somebody’s desk right now under a bunch of other shit.
It went slowly because it involved a white man molesting girls. White men are the most protected class of person on earth. The benefit of the doubt they get is disturbing. You can bet your ass that a black trainer molesting white girls would have seen swifter action.
