What exactly is the danger to preschoolers? Daycares have been open this entire time. Little kids by and large are not affected by this.
No but the preschooler can infect her parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. She in a hotspot, not Vermont, where my answer would be different.
Sorry, but I fail to see how a preschooler in FL who gets infected would be any more likely to spread it to their family than a preschooler in VT.
Lol. The preschooler in Florida is much more likely to get infected in the first place with more cases.

I’m not posting all the links again, btdt. See for yourself. My sister is just south of Atlanta, so I’m keeping a close eye on Georgia.
I live in Marietta, Cobb is virtual only, they released a plan to start in-person but only if numbers go down. Gwinnett is the same. Only cherokee and paulding are currently open for in-person classes around Atlanta. APS is virtual only for at least the first 9 weeks. Stop spreading rumors.

It does get cold in GA in late fall and winter. Temps can fall into the 40s and 30s.
30s and 40s are not even close to the temps that would warrant keeping kids inside. A few layers and a light jacket would work fine.

We're in Houston. Many are doing DL, even if the districts decide after starting the year virtually, to go in person after the first 4-12 weeks.
My sister has 10 year old DL but started 4 year old in Pre-K in same private both were in last school year. She is aware of the risk but feels it's one they'll take as he will be with 4 other kids in the classroom max and the school is taking the precautions they can. We'll see.

We stayed home
The numbers went down
We went out
It's just cycling through the southern states
And because there were no more covid headlines to scream about in the north the media turned their attention to the south
next it will be the midwest and rural areas of the west
The R value is actually highest in Hawaii but I guess that doesn't make a good news story
