Apparently not.
For example, This lady is irate because her DH is not sufficiently passionate about Kamala.

If my husband didn't vote for Trump, we may be headed to divorce.

As a woman in a mixed marriage - I'm the Republican, DH is the Democrat, that ad absolutely appals me. It is unbelievably patronizing and condescending to women.
Yes it’s definitely upsetting that some women in America have to hide their votes from their MAGA husbands. The RWNJ echo chamber really fell into the trap on this. Their reaction to the ad really told on them.
I realize that most of the posters on DCUM live in a bubble, but this attitude is shocking.
You really don't understand that there are Republican women - like close to 50% of women? Women who are really, truly Republican, and are not just being brain-washed into their beliefs by their knuckle-dragging, MAGA husbands?
That ad is not for them.
Hard pass from this Republican woman. The problem is the people making these ads don't know any Republican women or how we think.
The ad isn’t for republican women. It’s for women who feel pressured by their husbands to vote for Trump. These women aren’t republicans. If you’re truly confused about who this ad is intended for, go read The Well Trained Wife by Tia Levings. She discusses this phenomenon in the context of the 2000 election.
This is stupid. Should there be an ad telling men not to be p***y whipped by their wives into who to vote for?
I'm sure if there should be there would be. There's no shortage of political ads. This one is to encourage folks that want to vote for Harris to vote for Harris even if they're under pressure to not do so

I would make him explain it to our daughters. But he actually cares about them and women’s rights so it would never happen.Anonymous wrote:Women, are you OK with your husband voting for Trump?

The Harris campaign has been nailing it all season.
WTF are you talking about? The "crying" I've heard is from women who are deeply offended at the belief that the left thinks we are voting for Trump because we are being bullied about it from our husbands.
There is a whole segment of the right wing media echo-chamber and right wing social media where this is happening. You just aren't in that echo-system apparently. You should be thankful.

Look, I think in any relationship where the spouses have different polictical views there is a good deal of debate (or in your mind, "pressure").
It's this assumption the left has that the only reason a woman could possibly vote for Trump is because she is being bullied into it, is what is so blood-boilingly infuriating to us women - who really, actually prefer Trump over Harris. In my case, I'm the Trump supporter in our marriage - much to my husband's chagrin.

Some women are stuck in abusive marriages where the husband is so controlling that he dictates who his wife votes for (or if she’s even allowed to vote). This is a real phenomenon.
Again, this ad is not for you. You are not the Main Character.
Exactly. You just expressed why us female Trump voters are so offended. You are equating being a Trump voter, with being the type of woman who would be married to a controlling abuser. Why do you not feel the need to tell women that it's ok to vote for Trump if their husbands want them to vote for Harris?
It's the belittling connotation of what a Trump voter is like that is deeply condescending and offensive. If you truly don't get why, you have a lot of self-reflection to do.
