Late 50s, divorced, retired, one kid already done with college. Have about $2.6 million liquid. About $250,000 of that was inherited. Will likely inherit more within the next 10 years (not that I’m looking forward to that).

I passed $1 million net worth right around age 44. 7 years later I'm at about $2.8.
Divorced, 2 kids. Inherited small amounts ($15K in my 20s, $40K in my 40s).

I posted at 18:45 on the first page. I said “probably no”, but we might be getting close. We have probably $600k in home equity.

Hit the million at 45. The money is in regular investment account, Roth Ira, and a retirement home abroad.
I work very part time now at 48, which I wanted more than the million.
I won't add money to retirement or use the money already invested.

With 401(k), IRA, 529s, home equity, and investment property counted yes, hit $1 million a long time ago. $1 million outside of these in bank/brokerage? Not yet but hope to hit that in a couple years.

Some people have so much and others have so little.

I'm 62 and not yet a millionaire - probably around $700k with about half in retirement and half in home equity.. Current trajectory has me getting there around age 70 if we both keep working.

Late/mid 40s

3.5m liquid - brokerage, 401ks, etc.
1m home equity
2.5m private company stock (totally illiquid, may never see the value)

So around 7m but a portion is highly speculative. No inheritance yet but should receive one day, but probably not until I’m close to 70.

Current Age = 27 and 29

Age we hit $1M NW = 25 and 27
Includes house with $150K equity
Includes me and spouse
No inheritance or family money

Please don’t jump in if you’re not living in the DC area - NYC and CA posters really skew stuff. You all need to make your own forums / spaces already.

55, single, first million at 44, close to 3 now, not including home equity.

I’m tired of working, would love to retire but i’m a single mom and I have a 15 yr old.

Home is paid off, so now Im working to pay for DC’s college fund, I should have enough saved to pay for 4 years by the time they graduate, then that’s it I’m done.
