Sounds like it's not really tolerated, it's endemic.

Bullying problems at a school come from the lack of structures to support student social/emotional learning and from the expectations of the top.

If the whole school has a discipline/bullying problem, it's not the students....

There was also the Concerned Parents of Oakridge from a couple of years ago.

I'm telling you, I know staff there. The pattern is repeating itself of staff looking to leave. A parent at the school I know called her "hostile"

Well she is obviously. And according to first hand sources of staff I know still at the school, she's again on the way to running people out of the building to avoid the anxious/toxic atmosphere.

Very impulsive. The impulsivity seems to go hand in hand with the anger issues - she responds explosively without taking a moment to breathe/think/calm down.

This sounds like a plot line on Abbott Elementary.


Another time she got on the loudspeaker to talk about how wonderful one staff member was, and how there was cake in the teachers’ lounge in honor of her birthday. This in the middle of a school day.

Good lord.

I've heard first and second hand about the trusted crew of 6 or 7 staff members and then everyone else. And so so so many other things. How does someone keep a job with that many well known issues?

I've worked in schools my entire career, and Ive never heard about calling an individual over the loudspeaker.

That's got to be so detrimental to staff morale.

How does she still have a job? Brutal.
