There is one person or perhaps a couple that seem to have really odd relationships with their older children. The one who was able to talk at great length about her teenaged children's bathroom schedules, shower schedules, etc. and the one who insisted that children needed to be trained to only 'go' at certain times. Don't know if it's the same one who knew how much her teen son weighed, where he was on the growth chart, and who measured out how much food he was given, and seemed to be worried that he was getting fat.

I also enjoy 'how much should a woman who is six feet tall and wears a size four weigh?" What size do you weigh if you are five foot six and wear a size two? and all of the endless permutations. here too I wonder if there isn't somewhere she could be looking this information up.

There was a poster, a few years ago I think, who was upset and offended that her family seemed hungry/wanted to order more food after she’d made them a home-cooked dinner. Only to find that she was feeding them next to nothing. No, of course not. But if you know Rosemary's mom posts on DCUM and there's another post about a weird social interaction or something else specific, then it's easier to piece together that Rosemary's mom is posting about something that happened at last week's playdate. The best thing about DCUM is the anonymity, I'm not messing that up!

Yeah, you should have alternatives because there's no alcohol. But if there is alcohol, all you need to offer is still and sparkling water!

Cocktail hour is for lemonade and sodas and mixed drinks. Dinner is for water, sparkling water, and wine. You CAN have more, but it's not rude not to have more.
