I think you're missing the point. The issue is that he argues it's unsafe to open schools and is preventing our kids from getting a decent education. Even as his own kids go to school every single day and have since the beginning of the year.
Does anyone have an actual recent quote that he has said it’s unsafe to open public schools?

What can we do about it, other than try to prevent her from winning again? Nothing. Wealthy people in this city, the types who earn 200K plus, almost always send their kids to private schools. That's the way it's always been, and, presumably, always will be. Move on.
Families who earn $200k do not spend $92k after taxes on private school.
Also, if you want to be in charge of PUBLIC schools, you have no business doing so if your own children are too good for them.

But this situation is different. He is publicly supporting keeping kids out of school for safety reasons but is sending his own kids to school. It doesn't make sense and it is hypocritical. If he feels schools are so unsafe, his kids should be choosing the virtual school option that WIS is offering. But he didn't. Or, he could support a return to school. But he isn't. He needs to go.
I haven't read every post from this thread. How has he publicly supported keeping kids out of school? It's interesting that this thread has put all reopening blame on his shoulders, when the WTU has blocked any reopening plans since the Fall.

Most private schools have been 100 percent open since September.
Not true at all. That’s only true for some parochials. The rest opened in hybrid—my upper elementary kid didn’t get any in-person until mid-Nov. Just check out the parents who’ve been complaining about not getting more in person in the private forum.
The vast majority of privates have been open five days since the beginning of the school year.
Again, incorrect. Most opened in some sort of hybrid, with more in-person time for the youngest students.

Well, the school in question, WIS, has been open since the beginning of the year
Even assuming that is true, that is very different than the "vast majority of privates have been open."
Private schools with virtual learning have been the exception
