Hopkins has a major chip on its shoulder. Lots of incredible things happening there and smart alums. But also a lot of people who need to grow up. This applies to many schools but seems particularly prevalent at Hopkins.

GA Tech is a world class engineering school. STEM <> Engineering so comparing the two is not apples to apples. Tech also has great sports which is a plus.
