There are most definitely white “liberals” living in the wealthiest areas preaching from their sanctimonious perches about racism and equity— all the while living as far as they can from the people who need the so-called equity.
I don't think there are that many white wealthy people in Potomac who preach about equality. Not sure where you are getting that from.
As has been pointed out many times, county council is mostly made up of folks from Silver Spring/TP area, not Potomac. Wealthy areas don't seem happy with the county council.
Takoma Park and Silver Spring aren't wealthy? Please.
First of all, the ^^PP only referred to Potomac and Bethesda, and secondly, it's like having whiplash.. some on here claim SS is ganglandia and now you say is not wealthy.
SS/TP has some wealthy people, but no local person would claim that area is wealthy. You can't be local to MoCo, then.
TP/SS are wealthy and the people who live there voted for the Council and Executive to serve them. They are rich white social justice warriors and people in Potomac and Bethesda just roll along with it.

Is there a specific issue or problem you have that you would like your local government to address?
Not the OP, but I live in MoCo. I very much would like my local government and the federal government to address the problem of illegal immigration. It is number one on my list.
I would like MoCo leadership to encourage it’s workers to cooperate with ICE, instead of standing firm against ICE and allowing criminals (who are illegal immigrants) to get away with their crimes.

You will get very little support for your comments on this website because it is an anti-Trump, rabidly liberal echo chamber that does not allow for nuance of thought.
But you are one hundred percent on point with your comments.
I live in MoCo and see everything that you have posted.
