that may be your opinion, but i think its smart to gather feedback before getting on the waitlist, most of these waitlists require paying $100 or more, and I dont see why anyone would want to do that if the feedback on a particular center was not good.

Love CDC! The school is super well run and once your child is older, there are options in terms of class size, teaching styles, etc. which we have found super helpful. They seem to have a little less turnover than the average center, which is also appreciated. Our good friends rave about Little Beginnings, but they have had a lot of teacher turnover this year (DCUM thread here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/780610.page#14598329) and IMO, their facility/building is a little rundown, although their playground and parking lot are definitely nicer than CDC.
Just a heads up to OP about CDC: I believe they only start new babies in September. I toured CDC, loved it, and got a spot, but the September start date didn't work for our February baby who needed care in June. We considered finding a gap-filler, but then we liked where we landed so it didn't make sense to move her.

I posted this. I saw it on Arlnewsnow recently and thought it might be germane to the discussion of infant centers. I'm not a sock-puppeter, I've never posted about this school before, and if you don't believe me, ask Jeff. Sheesh.

My 4 yo is at Little Beginnings and I’d definitely feel very good putting an infant there. I like the layout of the facility very much. It is light, bright, and spacious. The infant room has a baby gate, so the tiny kids are kind of in the mix with the rest of the school and not closed off, but they also have their own nice big space. The teachers there seem to support each other and they seem to genuinely care about the kids.

could you please share more about the little beginnings infant room? I recently toured the place and am considering getting on their waitlist just in case i miraculously get lucky!
